Little Crumb |
SynopsisLittle Crumb is a ten-year-old boy living in Rotterdam in 1921. The street is his home, the place where he finds lots of fun and lots of trouble. Little Crumb doesn't know where his parents are, and yearns to be united with them. The only tie to his past is a locket with their photographs. One day he meets Chris Wilkes, a freindly grocer. Chris turns out to know Little Crumb's father, a man named Harry Volker, who hasn't been heard from since he left for America, ten years ago. After Little Crumb from escapes from an orphanage, he meets Vera di Bordoni, a accomplished pianist, whos face seems strikingly like that of the photo in his locket of his mother, Lize van Dien. Will the boy from the street find his family in the end? |
