A graduate of New York University, with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and writing, the 29-year-old former fashion stylist conceptualized and cast music videos and photo shoots for such artists as David Bowie, Nine Inch Nails, Garbage, Marilyn Manson, Moby and Fiona Apple, before making the transition into filmmaking. Elster's Film credits include Dirty and Ill Will.
